Request for assistance - WICEN Exercise for the "Rallye des Femme" (Lady Drivers Rally)
Good afternoon all (well it is as I type this),
Next Saturday (10th December) is the annual "Rallye des Femme" car rally.
This small rally is designed for the long suffering Wives, Girlfriends, Partners and others to take over the rally car from the boys and get out to compete. It often attracts competitors from Sydney and the south coast in addition to the locals.
The rally will be held out in Kowen forest and will consist of 3 stages, each to be run 3 times similar to last year.
So we need 9 people for the field stations and 4-5 at HQ which will be on the hill near the old water tanks where we were for the last few events at Kowen - excellent view of the old "Rally of Canberra" jump and away from the noise and dust of the service park.
So far we have had affirmatives from the following people.... Greg VK1BAT, Deane VK1DW, Ian VK1FMAC, Mark VK1HMS, Matt VK1MA, Peter VK1NPW, Phil VK1PL, Wayne VK1VNB & Bill VK1WPR.
We have had a few of our regulars indicate they cannot assist as well.
So, we are chasing another 4 or 5 people to come along and help out. Don't be shy, even if you have never done a WICEN event before don't worry, the duties and responsibilities are very easy and this is an ideal event to learn about what goes on.
The meet times are 8:30 / 9:00 AM and the event should be over by 3:30 PM.
