G'day Garry, it is simple WICEN and CRARC support these events so
that as a NOT FOR PROFIT organisation we can make a little bit of
coin to support all the activies the club undertakes, let alone the
taking care or our repeaters etc..
It also gives members the opportunity to keep their communications
skills up todate so that they can be called on in an emergency by
civil authorities....
As for CB, it is a complete waste of time in this region....
deliberate interference, nuisance traffic is not what the rally
organisations need, our radio networks provide hassle free immediate
communications for safety....
