CRARC Membership System Changes.
Approximately 12 months ago CRARC moved to an online membership system designed for US Amateur Radio Operators called HamClubOnline. At the time we believed that changes were being made to accomodate differences between the US and Australia, and indeed some changes were made so we made the move.
Unfortunately the changes stopped, with several key requirements either entirely absent or incompletely implemented. Despite representations to the owners of the system regarding the issues we were having there have been no updates or fixes made since the end of last year.
So, a few months ago we decided to look around again for a usable membership management system and this time we found one, based in Australia, that appeared to meet all of our requirements. This new system is called TidyHQ and was developed to manage the membership requirements of Australian sporting clubs.
After testing it for the past couple of months we have decided to go ahead and move across to TidyHQ. The majority of the data has been migrated and we will be finalising the move over this weekend. We will be shutting down the CRARC instance on HamClubOnline early next week and all future membership renewals and new membership applications will happen via TidyHQ. The club website, www.crarc.org.au http://www.crarc.org.au/ will be updated once this is fully in place.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, however it was increasingly obvious that HamClubOnline wasn’t going to meet our needs thus making the move necessary.
You may also have received some emails from both this list and TidyHQ that were automatically generated as part of the migration process. You may safely ignore them.
